Radon Testing

"Home is where your family’s safe — and radon’s not!"

The only way to know your home's radon level is to test it—don't rely on your neighbors’ results, as levels can vary significantly from house to house. For the most accurate reading, it's recommended to test your home for at least 90 days during the heating season, when windows and doors are typically closed.

Health Canada recommends testing every two years, and it's becoming more common to test when buying a new home. You can easily do it yourself by purchasing a digital radon detector. Homeowners appreciate the instant readings and user-friendly design. These detectors also allow you to monitor long-term average levels and confirm that mitigation efforts have been successful.

Once you're done, consider passing the detector on to a friend or family member—radon awareness is something worth sharing.

4-Day Assessment.  Our team offers a short-term test where we set up a radon monitor for 96 hours and provide you an hourly assessment of the radon levels measured in your home.  This service is most popular during a real-estate transaction.  It can provide the new owner with peace of mind or if radon levels are above Health Canada’s guidelines, the ability to negotiate a radon mitigation system be installed as part of the purchase agreement.
